About the Role:
- DEFCON AI is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to support and maintain infrastructure across cloud, identity, and end-user services.
- This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement supporting a fast-moving team across commercial and government cloud environments.
- You will own day-to-day administration across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and maintain workloads across AWS and Microsoft Azure, including compute, storage, networking, and identity resources.
- Manage the Microsoft 365 tenant, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and user lifecycle.
- Perform routine system administration, patching, monitoring, and support; develop scripts for automation.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on IT system administration experience with strong AWS expertise.
- Practical cloud administration across both AWS and Azure; Microsoft 365 administration expertise.
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) and US citizenship required.
