German Sports Localization Specialist (Football)

Accountabilities:

• Review, translate, localize, fact-check, and adapt sports-related content from US English into German.
• Perform quality control on audiovisual and multimedia content while maintaining accuracy, consistency, tone, and adherence to style guides.
• Manage an expected weekly weighted volume of approximately 2,000–5,000 words while maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in linguistics, translation, localization, sports journalism, or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of football, including terminology, competitions, teams, and fan culture.
• Native-level fluency in German and excellent grammar, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
