Play a key role in public company readiness, including building out reporting processes, and supporting the transition to public company operations. Lead the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, S-1, and other required disclosures. Develop and maintain supporting documentation and audit-ready work papers for all external financial reporting activities.

This person will be part of our SEC Reporting team, which owns the external reporting process and complex technical accounting areas. This is a critical role that requires extensive hands-on experience in SEC filings and technical accounting and strong cross-functional working skills. This is a fully remote role, though candidates based in the NYC metro area or Austin are preferred.

Assist with Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statements, prepare reinsurance cession statements, and coordinate reinsurance settlements. Participate in the monthly accounting close process and prepare reinsurance ceded and assumed journal entries. Improve existing accounting processes and support year-end financial statement audits. Partner with the Finance team and support other internal teams with their accounting-related needs.

The Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager performs a broad range of corporate accounting functions. This role will be primarily responsible for assessment of new or complex accounting issues arising from both business transactions and the implementation of new accounting pronouncements, as well as ad hoc technical accounting research. This role will also prepare the company's internal and external financial statements including detailed disclosures.
