This role is a key leadership position responsible for driving UpStart’s philanthropic revenue strategy to fuel long-term growth and impact. The Managing Director will report directly to the CEO and serve as a strategic partner in mobilizing a distributed development model. This role requires a nuanced understanding of how conversations about Israel intersect with North American Jewish identity.

The System Director Philanthropy plans and implements a comprehensive fundraising program in support of philanthropy's national initiatives. The position will have direct fund-raising and strategic oversight as part of their job portfolio. Focuses on Major Gifts and develops and oversees the fundraising strategic plan to generate major gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations and grants.
