This is a remote per-diem role. The role involves analyzing mid- and higher-level general auto claims to determine scope of damages, ensuring ongoing adjudication of claims within company standards and industry best practices, and identifying subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.

Working independently, the Claim Litigation Consultant II investigates, evaluates coverage and liability exposures, negotiates and resolves large and/or complex third-party litigated claim files, providing credit unions with superior claims service. They will offer consultation on credit union risks and areas for loss prevention as a result of litigation. The consultant collaborates with other claims and product experts to ensure consistent handling of commercial insurance claims and appropriate use of external resources. The incumbent also ensures that recovery processes are integrated into the resolution of claims.

Works within a Claims Team, using the latest technology to manage an assigned caseload of routine to moderately complex claims from the investigation of the claim through resolution. This includes making decisions about liability/compensability, evaluating losses, and negotiating settlements. The role interacts with claimants, policyholders, appraisers, attorneys, and other third parties throughout the claim’s management process.

Underwrite and manage a portfolio of high-hazard environmental liability risks, including Pollution Legal Liability (PLL), Environmental Excess, and other monoline and environmental casualty products. This role requires deep expertise in environmental underwriting, risk assessment, and the ability to develop tailored solutions for unique environmental exposures. You will conduct thorough risk analysis, develop relationships with brokers and agents, and negotiate policy terms.

Responsible for prompt and independent review of insurance claims, through effective research, evaluation, investigation, negotiation and interaction with insureds, claimants, and counsel. The Adjuster is assigned to mid-sized and / or mid-complexity claims in the line of business.
