The Director, Government Affairs will play an integral role in developing, implementing, and executing government affairs strategies, initiatives, and engagement around brain health disorders and behavioral health conditions. The successful candidate will elevate the profile of MindMed with key state public officials/agencies. A successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to handle competing priorities in a high-pressure environment.
Supports the External Affairs division by examining western legislative and regulatory proceedings and conducting outreach to the ISO’s state partners across the West to meet the strategic goals of the organization. Collaborates with other ISO divisions to align public information and outreach efforts, emphasizing the importance of regional coordination and business development. Key responsibilities include relationship development, monitoring and analyzing the work of western state commissions and legislatures.
Spearhead the WelbeHealth government affairs function for assigned geography. Develop and implement an effective engagement strategy that results in outstanding relationships with elected officials and administration staff in designated states. Direct advocacy efforts to facilitate resolution of legislative and regulatory issues.
