We are seeking an experienced Corporate Onboarding Specialist to build and execute anti-financial crime strategies for our corporate clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing relevant processes and conducting in-depth reviews of business customers throughout their lifecycle. You will play a key role in ensuring that our compliance processes meet all AML regulations and internal policies.

We are looking for a highly motivated and business-oriented Legal Manager to join our dynamic legal team in Brazil to support our operations, focusing on regulatory strategy, product advisory licensing in the fast-evolving crypto and fintech landscape. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating complex regulatory frameworks, advising cross-functional teams, and engaging with regulators or industry stakeholders.

Collaborate with legal, marketing, finance, and other departments. Perform KYC checks for new and existing customers, including identity verification, risk assessment, and PEP/sanctions screening. Conduct onboarding of legal entities to financial institutions. Review and assess documentation for individual and business clients in line with AML regulations and internal policies. Stay updated on AML laws, regulatory changes, and industry best practices. Assist with internal and external regulatory requests.

As Senior Compliance & Risk Manager, you will be a key member of Paddle’s legal and compliance team, working closely with legal, product, and operational teams to ensure Paddle remains compliant with global payments and fintech regulations as we scale rapidly. This role requires someone with 6-8 years of experience in payments, fintech, and scale-up businesses, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance regulatory rigor with practical business solutions. You’ll lead the compliance team, including hiring and managing two additional compliance professionals, to build a robust and scalable compliance framework.

Support compliance growth into all global frontiers and provide support on suspicious activity reviews to ensure continuous compliance with regulations and internal policy requirements. Handle and review assigned cases within available SLAs, including advising relevant stakeholders on next steps. Partner with relevant internal stakeholders to strengthen quality of SARs, and ensure consistency and accuracy.

This role requires someone who is adaptable and can think outside of the box, while having a strong transactional and finance background. You will provide legal and strategic guidance to assess and mitigate legal risk.
