The classification specialist is tasked with supporting the organization on the key processes of international trade compliance by providing accurate product classification across all regions, applying efficient controls and corrective actions to maintain best-in-practice compliance practices. The role involves US customs compliance, reviewing requirements for compliant customs activities in the United States/Canada/Mexico, and supporting departmental audits.

This role is responsible for reviewing, planning, and working in a collaborative environment to ensure successful execution of live animal and semen shipments from PIC North America’s contracted and owned farm network to our customer base across North America and the globe. The successful candidate can work autonomously as well as collaboratively across functional teams while analyzing and problem solving.
