Position Overview:

  • This is a remote role based in Kenya, supporting the Lab's programs and events.
  • The position is a six-month full-time contract with a preferred start date as soon as possible.
  • You will be part of a small, mission-driven team working on racial, climate, and gender justice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cross-functional support across programs, events, research, and operations.
  • Coordinate logistics for major events, both in-person and online, including travel and participant engagement.
  • Maintain program trackers, databases, and assist with stakeholder management.

Qualifications:

  • You hold a Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in program support.
  • You have experience in event coordination, administration, or research, preferably in international contexts.
  • You demonstrate strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

African Futures Lab

The African Futures Lab (AfaLab) advances demands for racial justice for Africans and Afro-descended people globally through research, advocacy, and mobilisation labs. Founded by two Black women, it is a small, collaborative organisation working with activists and policymakers to address colonial and racial injustices.
