French Canadian Linguist

Main Purpose of the Job:

• Perform quality control tasks and on-demand translation from English to French Canadian.
• Coordinate translator activities and ensure adherence to language processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project-related queries and maintain language materials like glossaries and style guides.
• Train and develop new and existing freelancers to meet account needs.
• Interact with clients on linguistic matters and participate in developing improved processes.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Translation/Applied Languages with 4+ years of experience.
• Native French Canadian and fluent English, with experience in IT consumer products and localization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a virtual team.

Work Environment:

• Fully remote role based in Canada with flexible working hours.
• Use of AI tools in hiring process, with human oversight.
