Vice President of Business Initiatives

About the Role:

• The Vice President of Business Initiatives leads ReFED’s business-facing work and is a formal member of the Leadership Team.
• This role is responsible for strategic direction, performance, and external credibility of the team.
• The VP partners with the Executive Director and other programmatic leaders to ensure business work is strategically sound and well-resourced.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and communicate a multi-year strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee consulting, advisory services, and the U.S. Food Waste Pact.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with food businesses, trade associations, and funders.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated success leading a team in the food industry.
• Deep knowledge of the food business landscape, including sustainability and supply chain dynamics.
• Strong strategic thinking and communication skills with a commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
