Job Summary:
- Apply senior-level expertise to code inpatient and outpatient professional fee services across multiple specialties.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance by assigning CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 diagnosis codes based on documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve edits in work queues and analyze denials for corrected claims or appeals.
- Collaborate with clinic supervisors, providers, and Revenue Management to resolve coding issues and questions.
- Maintain assigned workqueues and coding assignments within defined processing timeframes.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of experience in professional fee coding.
- Experience with EHR and health care applications; Epic experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain CPC or CCS certification within six months.
