Accountabilities:

  • Receive, review, and process requests for patient health information according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all medical record disclosures comply with authorization requirements, privacy standards, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Respond to inbound and outbound calls from patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and other authorized requesters regarding medical record status.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required, with basic computer skills and comfort using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and quality, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical records, customer service, or administrative environments is a plus.
