Job Overview:

  • Coordinates all patient scheduling activities for multiple hospital, physician practice, and outpatient departments.
  • Facilitates communication between staff, referral sources, and physician offices regarding scheduling issues.

Key Duties:

  • Schedules patients for physician appointments and diagnostic test procedures.
  • Educates patients, families, and physician offices on department protocols, procedures, insurance, and testing criteria.
  • Monitors practice protocols and recommends improvements to reduce errors and improve efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 6 months medical office, call center, or customer service experience.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and detail-oriented with accurate data entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with EMR and scheduling systems such as EPIC.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
