Job Overview:
- Coordinates all patient scheduling activities for multiple hospital, physician practice, and outpatient departments.
- Facilitates communication between staff, referral sources, and physician offices regarding scheduling issues.
Key Duties:
- Schedules patients for physician appointments and diagnostic test procedures.
- Educates patients, families, and physician offices on department protocols, procedures, insurance, and testing criteria.
- Monitors practice protocols and recommends improvements to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and 6 months medical office, call center, or customer service experience.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and detail-oriented with accurate data entry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with EMR and scheduling systems such as EPIC.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
