Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with new and existing small to mid-size business clients to originate SBA 7(a) lending opportunities.
- Prepare and present credit analyses and lending recommendations; negotiate loan terms within delegated authority.
- Monitor loan portfolio performance and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience in commercial credit and business development, including SBA lending.
- Strong knowledge of SBA 7(a) lending products, regulations, underwriting, and loan structuring.
Additional Qualities:
- Proven ability to develop and manage business relationships and strong analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; self-motivated with minimal direction.
- Comfortable with up to 50% travel to meet clients and represent the bank.
