Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and record patient information, screen for orthotics and prosthetics charges, and complete timely billing.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing complaints, using active listening, and maintaining professional communication.
  • Maintain a safe environment, follow infection control policies, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Six months of medical office experience with high volume direct patient contact or one year of high-volume public contact.
  • Basic computer keyboarding skills including typing 30-45 wpm.
  • Medical terminology and excellent communication skills preferred.

Work Environment:

  • This position is remote and works in a busy office environment with multiple competing demands.
  • Continuous computer work up to 8+ hours a day with ability to sit/stand for 4 hours at a time.
