Role Overview:
- You will manage patient scheduling and registration in a remote setting, ensuring accurate data entry and insurance verification.
- You will interact with patients and providers via phone and system tools to coordinate appointments.
- You will support revenue cycle by collecting payments and educating patients on financial assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Navigate web-based products for registration and scheduling, and document all activities in the patient chart.
- Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and apply basic knowledge of CPT and ICD10 coding.
- Perform PBX switchboard functions and handle call volumes to route requests appropriately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; medical terminology coursework preferred.
- Basic computer skills with 25-35 wpm typing preferred.
- 1 year of call center or customer service experience, or 1 year in a medical facility preferred.
