Responsibilities:

  • Advise People and business leaders on a broad range of employment matters including hiring, performance management, employee relations, and terminations.
  • Partner with Human Resources to develop and implement employment-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide legal guidance on workforce planning, reorganizations, reductions in force, and organizational changes.

Global Employment Compliance:

  • Monitor and advise on employment law developments across the United States, Europe, and APAC.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local U.S. employment laws, as well as applicable European employment regulations.
  • Partner with external counsel as needed on country-specific employment issues and labor law requirements.

Investigations and Dispute Resolution:

  • Lead or support internal workplace investigations involving employee complaints, misconduct allegations, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
  • Manage employment claims, agency charges, demand letters, and litigation in coordination with outside counsel.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate employment-related risks and resolve disputes efficiently.

Commercial and Operational Support:

  • Review and draft employment-related agreements, including offer letters, employment agreements, and severance agreements.
  • Support due diligence and integration activities related to acquisitions and other strategic transactions.
  • Deliver practical employment law training to managers, People Business Partners, and company leadership.
