Responsible for implementing and managing Patient Access' strategic and operational objectives. Serves as a subject matter expert in Patient Access functions for both hospital and physician services. Performs highly complex assignments with minimal direction from the Director. Acts as a liaison with physicians and other hospital departments. Takes initiative and uses good judgment in decision making.
The Associate Director, Data Integrity leads enterprise-wide efforts to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of patient health information within Emory Healthcare's Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This role supports the delivery of exceptional patient care and operational efficiency by developing and implementing robust data integrity policies, managing patient identity resolution, and overseeing chart corrections and Epic record merges.
Under the general supervision of the Team Leader or designee, performs a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization and obtains and documents all information required to create an accurate patient registration encounter that insures payment is received upon the first submittal to third party payers.
