As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer at BetterHelp, you’ll join a diverse team of licensed clinicians, engineers, product pros, creatives, marketers, and business leaders who share a passion for expanding access to therapy. You will work with DevOps and Security Engineering to harden our entire cloud infrastructure, ensuring security across all AWS resources.

As a Ping Cyber Security Engineer you will be involved with every facet of our enterprise systems, including our Software-as-a-Service business areas. As a Senior Software Engineer with a security focus, you'll play a pivotal role in building and securing North's architecture, contributing to the core development of security features such as OIDC/OAuth flows and session management. You will write secure code to handle OIDC tokens, user claims, and sensitive data and implement authentication mechanisms including user login, token management, and authorization checks to maintain data integrity.

As a Senior Threat Backend Engineer, you will collaborate with the security research team to develop and improve threat detection capabilities by engineering and optimizing data storage solutions using databases like Postgres and Elastic Search. You will also develop and maintain our browser extension, engage in the collection and streaming of event data using Kafka and integrate new services and platforms into our existing infrastructure.

As a core member of our infrastructure team, you will build and maintain major features, through inception, design, implementation and launch, working closely with product and engineering disciplines across the company. You will spend the majority of your time on cross-functional self-contained feature teams focused on delivering value to the customer, while other projects will be more internally focused on integrations, scalability, and performance.
