  • Lead the end-to-end strategy and application process to obtain US Money Transmission Licences (MTLs) and crypto-specific licences on a state-by-state basis.
  • Manage regulator relationships, track all MTL applications, and coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance.

  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to product and engineering teams developing blockchain-based payments and financial infrastructure.
  • Provide proactive legal and regulatory guidance on US financial services laws and frameworks, including money transmission and compliance obligations.
  • Design, implement, and evolve internal compliance policies and risk assessment processes aligned with US regulatory expectations.

  • Advise clients on legal matters, providing guidance that reflects current law and seasoned judgment.
  • Review and negotiate agreements with material regulatory or compliance dimensions.
  • Develop training materials and lead sessions for other attorneys.
