This role leads strategic sourcing activities across all aspects of SCAN’s IT Category Management for various Software and IT professional services sourcing. It requires strategic ownership of all-encompassing category spend, developing strategies to reduce total cost of ownership – including vendor management, demand management, and governance/compliance – to achieve initial TCO reduction and ongoing year-over-year improvements, utilizing an understanding of industry trends.
Drives continuous improvement and operational excellence across all procurement functions, focusing on enhancing procurement policies, processes, governance, and compliance to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure regulatory adherence. Leads transformation initiatives, performance monitoring, and change management delivering strategic value and strengthen procurement capabilities.
The Commodity Manager – IT & Professional Services leads and manages the Global Supply Management process for these categories, driving productivity, cost improvement, and risk mitigation by building strong relationships with key stakeholders (IT, Engineering, Marketing, HR, Product Management) and suppliers. The position negotiates contracts, ensures supplier capacity and capability, and partners with corporate teams to deliver cost reduction, competitive advantage, and supply continuity through global sourcing.
