Act as the emissary of the architecture as the primary expert within a technology stack. The Architect owns the decision making around high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Technical owner from design to resolution of tailored solutions to sophisticated problems on cloud platforms based on client requirements and other constraints.

As the Senior Engineering Manager for Backend DUX, you'll lead a team of incredibly talented engineers in creating a developer ecosystem which delivers speed, quality, and enjoyment for Mercury's 200+ engineers. Mercury's primary backend language is Haskell, and your team is comprised of industry recognized thought leaders in that community. You'll report to the Director of Stability, Infrastructure, and Developer UX, work alongside other platform teams whose overarching mission is to achieve startup-like developer effectiveness at scale.

This is a leadership role responsible for managing the overall Application Services Business Globally for Rackspace Public Cloud, driving business around Application Migration, Modernization, Cloud Native Development and Support. This critical role involves building Services Business for Enterprise customers from the ground up, with sales, solutioning, and delivery responsibility, partnering with the field sales team to grow the Applications Services business globally.
