Investigate the ways in which high school systems across Canada support, or fail to support, student mental well-being. This role does not involve direct mental health service delivery but conduct research on provincial education policies, school board guidelines, and leading practices. Inform a policy report and toolkit intended to guide stakeholders in implementing effective mental health supports.
As a Business Management Consultant, you will join the senior management team to strengthen the operational backbone of the Federation of Canadian Secondary Students (FCSS-FESC). Your primary focus will be documenting and streamlining core business functions to ensure the organization’s administrative, financial, and technological systems are sustainable, efficient, and transparent.
Examine how students with disabilities are supported, included, and accommodated within Canada’s high school systems, conducting research into provincial legislation, school board policies, and classroom-level practices to assess how the education system advances, or hinders, equity for disabled students, which findings will contribute to a policy brief and set of tools that aim to guide educational stakeholders in building more accessible, inclusive, and affirming school environments.
