Portfolio Management & Donor Strategy:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of 100–150 major gift prospects, including members of the NPR Foundation Board of Trustees.
  • Secure high 6- to 7-figure gifts by developing and executing comprehensive annual solicitation plans and aiming to generate $5M+ in new revenue each fiscal year.

Moves Management & Collaboration:

  • Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through the appropriate prospect cycle, using moves management tools and best practices.
  • Partner with local Member stations and the Planned Giving team, and communicate frequently with the Senior Director of Major Gifts on progress and strategy.

Donor Materials, Reporting & Database Management:

  • Independently create engaging donor proposals, impact reports, and briefing materials, partnering with Donor Operations and Communications.
  • Maintain and update donor information promptly in the donor database (Salesforce) to ensure real-time accuracy and data integrity.

Professional Standards & Adaptability:

  • Exemplify fundraising best practices and the highest ethical standards, ensuring all donor interactions align with NPR’s mission.
  • Partner across the development organization to contribute to a strong culture of philanthropy and participate in projects as needed.
