Job Purpose:

  • Proactively grow the specialty pharmacy patient population by making outbound calls and enrolling patients with Shields Partner Pharmacy.
  • Educate patients on the services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.
  • Protect Shields values by keeping information confidential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with patients over the phone, providing a compelling reason why the Shields Partner Pharmacy program is superior.
  • Access patient EMRs, review chart notes, and identify medications requiring special storage or handling.
  • Identify necessary supplies such as sharps containers, needles, syringes, and alcohol swabs.

Qualifications:

  • Active national pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA/ExCPT) required or obtained within 6 months.
  • 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or related role.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or PTCB/ExCPT license preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal communication and phone skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Self-motivation and focus on patient advocacy, with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new processes.
