Development Manager, Democracy

About the Role:

• This is an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven fundraising professional to contribute to initiatives that strengthen democratic institutions.
• You will work in a collaborative, remote-first environment and help shape fundraising strategies for a rapidly expanding pooled fund.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies focused on individual and foundation donors.
• Manage and coordinate fundraising activities across internal teams and external partners, ensuring strong project execution.
• Build, cultivate, and steward relationships with small- to mid-level donors while supporting engagement with larger prospective funders.

Requirements:

• 7–9 years of relevant experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or philanthropy, combined with a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience raising funds from charitable foundations, individual donors, or philanthropic organizations.
• Strong project management capabilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grant writing and donor-facing materials.
