Managed Care Coordinator/Insurance Verification & Patient Estimates Specialist (PAS Resource Specialist)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and create patient liability estimates while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as primary contact for patients regarding financial obligations, providing estimates and collecting pre-service payments.
• Provide backup support and cross-coverage for the department, including handling trauma admissions and third-party liability.

Required Qualifications:

• One year of experience in a medical office managed care position, including high-volume scheduling, medical terminology, and insurance verification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of managed care policies, authorization processes, and Epic EHR system.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a strong customer service orientation.
