The Privatization and Government Finance Policy Analyst will work with Reason policy teams to produce policy research that addresses key issues such as revenue, spending, and debt levels of state and local governments, as well as federal spending and revenue. Additional issues include managing government finances and financial transparency, improving the effectiveness of spending through public-private partnerships, asset management and partnerships, contracting out services, and full privatization.

The Transportation Policy Analyst will work with the transportation team to provide policy research and data-driven analyses in support of creating sound transportation policy. The position involves researching, summarizing, and analyzing transportation policy with a focus on state government. This includes researching and writing commentaries, op-eds, policy briefs, and policy studies. This person will also assist with collecting, combining, and modeling spreadsheets and datasets.

Support the Network team by developing and managing reporting dashboards and providing data-driven insights. Build out reporting dashboards to analyze key metrics and provide valuable insights for use with external customers and internal cross-functional teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs and uncover data-driven insights to support long-term network growth strategies.

This role will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to deeply understand business challenges, define key questions, and deliver insights through thoughtful examination and reporting.
