Assist with employment, lease, vendor and other day-to-day practice operational matters. Administer and maintain operational databases including leases, legal and medical board claims for all worldwide subsidiaries. Monitor changes to government guidelines or regulations and submit reports on pertinent changes. Provides admin support to General Counsel and other attorneys.

Serve as Staff Counsel in the Legal Counsel Unit, focusing on providing advice and counsel related to the development and implementation of youth financial empowerment programs. This includes providing program counsel to the Department’s Office of Financial Empowerment, as well as reviewing, drafting and managing legal aspects of related contracts. The Staff Counsel will also assist with implementing new and amended laws.

Be a member of a collaborative team of employees engaged in mediating consumer complaints by negotiating with consumers and businesses for equitable resolutions on behalf of both parties. Responsibilities include communicating and interacting with consumers and businesses on consumer-related complaints, analyzing, documenting, researching, and resolving consumer complaints, and maintaining the Agency database.

As an Agency Attorney L-2 for the Lead Unit and under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner and/or Supervising Attorney in the Housing Litigation Division, responsibilities include litigating cases on behalf of HPD’s Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services (OENS) to enforce the NYC Housing Maintenance Code and NYS Multiple Dwelling Law in the Housing Part of New York City Civil Court and on occasion in NYS Supreme Court; executing difficult and involved negotiations; and researching and preparing complex briefs.

The Foundation faces a myriad of legal issues ranging from complex copyright questions to international freedom of expression to mobile development to internal corporate compliance. Because of the wide array of legal issues, legal fellows will be assigned challenging projects based on their particular interests and strengths. These projects range from researching various legal questions to drafting licensing agreements to developing internal and external policies.

The Advocacy & Government Relations Intern will take on a variety of special projects unique to STCU’s government and public affairs work. Responsibilities will include managing, analyzing, and reporting on bills and policy issues that impact credit union members, employees, and the community for Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and at the federal level.

The Legal team seeks an intern to aid in tagging contract fields, research new laws and regulations affecting DrFirst, and collaborate with attorneys to update templates with consistent provisions in key areas such as billing, taxes, data usage, and privacy. This is a full-time position that will span over the course of 10 weeks, starting June 2nd, 2024 and ending August 8th.
