The Automated Mosaics team is responsible for producing Planet’s Mosaic products, combining image processing and engineering expertise to create spatially and temporally consistent views of Earth at a global scale. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving Planet’s Mosaic products, improve the mosaicing algorithm, and ensure that data production scales reliably and efficiently.

Provides direction and technical guidance for planning, directing and monitoring operating system software and hardware. Analyzes project requirements and recommends enhancements to fit architectural strategies. Installs and maintains operating systems software, system and operation oriented program products for a large central server environment. Designs and implements hardware and software configurations. Monitors central server software and hardware to ensure system availability.
