About the role:\n- As an Outside Sales Business Development Representative, you will be the face of Groupon in Essen and the Ruhr metropolitan region.\n- You'll build our marketplace by identifying, engaging, and onboarding new local merchants across a broad range of categories.\n- This is a 100% remote field sales role where you will drive merchant acquisition through proactive outbound prospecting and in-person meetings.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\n- Qualify merchant needs, present Groupon's value proposition confidently to business owners, negotiate deals, and close merchants.\n- Maintain accurate activity tracking, pipeline updates, and forecasting in Salesforce, managing opportunities to ensure consistent deal flow.\n- Collaborate with Merchant Success teams to support smooth onboarding, ensuring your partners are set up for success from day one.\n\nHow We Measure Your Success:\n- Weekly Targets: Close 3 merchants per week, achieve 200 minutes of talk time, make 25-30 solid outbound calls, and book 8-10 in-person appointments.\n- Deal margins and merchant profitability through effective negotiation.\n- Demonstrated territory ownership and market penetration in Essen/Ruhr main area.
