Payments Specialist Contractor

The Role:

• We are hiring a Payments Specialist Contractor for a 6-month contract to manage customer payment engagements and improve processes.
• You will be the frontline for customers with payment issues while mapping and recommending improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to tickets in the payments inbox with sub-1-hour first response time.
• Make outbound calls and emails to chase unpaid invoices and manage payment plans.
• Diagnose process gaps, flag inefficiencies, and feed recommendations back to the team.

Requirements:

• Must have energy industry background and experience in debt, collections, or complaints.
• Hands-on with CRM like Zendesk and comfortable working across multiple systems.
• Resilient, self-starter with genuine care for customers in payment difficulty.
