People Operations Coordinator

About the Role:

• You'll keep the People function running accurately during rapid growth.
• You'll build the habits and workflows the team runs on, not just follow existing ones.
• You'll handle sensitive information with discretion and improve processes with AI tools.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
• Administer PTO requests and balances, and manage I-9 compliance.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, and support employee engagement programs.

Who You Are:

• You have 1-2 years of HR or People Operations experience, preferably at a startup.
• You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and communicate clearly.
• You thrive in ambiguity and move with urgency and ownership.

How We Work Together:

• GC AI is a distributed company across North America, with hub offices and regular offsites.
• If you're near an office, you'll collaborate in person on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
• We value human connection and expect up to 10% travel for those outside office locations.
