Staff Solutions Architect, AI Subject Matter Expert

About the Role:

• As a Subject Matter Expert, you'll be the deepest technical voice for one product group, helping customers make critical decisions on GitLab's largest opportunities.
• You'll partner with Account Solutions Architects, Product, and Engineering, bringing customer insights into roadmap discussions.

What You'll Do:

• Act as the technical authority on prioritized opportunities, leading deep dives, workshops, and executive briefings.
• Design and improve standardized Proof of Value templates, and build demos and reference architectures.
• Mentor Account SAs and contribute to the global SME community of practice.

What You'll Bring:

• Substantial experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, consulting, or software engineering with deep domain expertise.
• Practical expertise in agentic and AI-assisted development workflows, and hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to lead whiteboard sessions with engineers and present business cases to executives.
