Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality customer service to both external and internal customers, including prompt communication, crisis management, and problem-solving.
  • Handle managed care authorizations, schedule appointments and ancillary procedures, and coordinate with referring providers.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and eligibility; process referrals and manage correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Six months of medical office experience with high-volume patient contact and scheduling, or one year in a high-volume public contact role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, medical terminology, and data entry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation and ability to handle confrontational interactions.
