Patient Financial Services Counselor

Role Summary:

• This remote role supports patients in understanding and managing financial responsibilities for healthcare services.
• You will provide personalized guidance on payment options, Medicaid eligibility, financial assistance programs, and self-pay obligations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial counseling to patients virtually and through other service channels.
• Analyze patient accounts to identify outstanding obligations and develop practical action plans.
• Respond to patient inquiries through the Patient Financial Services call center with professionalism and empathy.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in financial counseling, self-pay collections, billing, healthcare, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of registration, coding, insurance billing, payment processes, and self-pay collections.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to patient- and family-centered service.
