Acorns is seeking a Machine Learning Intern to help shape and optimize our AI-powered coding environment. In this role, you’ll play a key part in refining how developers interact with AI-generated code, improving its usability, and driving adoption within our engineering teams. You will develop and implement RAG models, explore vector databases, and research automated code generation tools.

Work on small, cross-functional teams to build technology that replaces or transforms legacy systems. You’ll learn from experienced peers through pair programming and gain hands-on experience with modern engineering practices like test-driven development and continuous delivery. Build systems to generate and edit designs, working closely with various engineers, designers, and PMs. You will own the full lifecycle of features from design docs and stakeholder alignment through implementation, testing, and maintenance. This role requires staying across state-of-the-art advancements in deep learning and generative AI, facilitating knowledge sharing, and modelling initiative in achieving goals.
