Talent Acquisition Director

About the Role:

• The talent acquisition director will direct recruiting and hiring to ensure ProPublica attracts and hires the people needed to achieve goals.
• This role reports to the assistant managing editor for talent and works collaboratively with HR.
• You will manage the talent acquisition manager and temporary staff as needed.

In This Role You Will:

• Oversee recruitment for both business and editorial employees in a growing investigative journalism organization.
• Build relationships with hiring managers and serve as a trusted adviser through their hiring process and decisions.
• Develop and manage external talent pipeline strategy and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

• At least seven years experience overseeing recruitment, preferably in a media or nonprofit organization.
• At least five years prior supervisory or people management experience, including overseeing hybrid or remote employees.
• Ability to think strategically and operationally, and expert use of an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse.
