This role maintains, organizes, and manages patient health information in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of medical records while supporting care teams and external facilities with timely access to information. The MRS I is detail-oriented, efficient, and knowledgeable about health information management systems and regulations such as HIPAA.

We seek a candidate with experience with medical scheduling, who is a team player with exceptional interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills. This role is passionate about being part of a health-care team and excited to work in a non-traditional telemedicine practice environment.

As a Value Based Care (VBC) Medical Record Specialist, you will perform external medical record note review to populate pertinent historical information in the patient’s Accompany Health (AH) athenahealth record, send external Medical Record Requests, and prepare HEDIS measures to alert the provider of current results and open gaps that need to be addressed.
