Sei Labs is looking for a Deputy General Counsel to help lead the legal function through the next phase of growth as Sei continues to bridge the gap between crypto and traditional finance. This role sits at the intersection of product, regulation, and innovation — supporting incubation efforts that push the boundaries of how digital asset markets operate globally.

Lead global license strategy and applications across multiple jurisdictions (U.S., Canada, U.K./EU, MENA, APAC, LATAM), including new entity formation, application preparation, and full lifecycle project management to approval. Coordinate regulatory submissions for securities, crypto, and futures/derivatives licenses. Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, InfoSec, and Product teams.

Development and management of India’s AML compliance policies and processes in accordance with local regulations and guidelines. Ensure ongoing monitoring, detection, and reporting of suspicious activities as per Indian regulatory requirements. Coordinating various regulatory filings and communications with Indian authorities such as the Financial Intelligence Unit.

Drive all compliance and regulatory matters with local & international regulatory bodies, prepare regular reports and strategic direction to senior management regarding compliance matters, and coordinate various regulatory filings. Develop compliance policies and audit program procedures, focusing on internal compliance policy review, including ongoing assessments, assisting with compliance review, internal audit reviews and ongoing or ad hoc reviews. Track new product/service launch compliance items.
