We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Senior Network Engineer to drive the evolution and reliability of our global network infrastructure. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security across NMI's production and office networks. You will contribute to the design and operation of next-generation infrastructure while maintaining legacy systems and improving network observability.

We’re seeking a highly experienced Wired Network Engineer with both hands-on implementation and network design/architecture expertise to support a large-scale network modernization project across 600+ retail store locations. This role requires a strong blend of strategic network design validation, architecture-level problem-solving, and hands-on implementation in complex enterprise WAN environments leveraging Viptela SD-WAN and Cisco IOS-XE technologies.

Manage configuration, deployment, and maintenance of core networking components across on-prem and cloud (Azure/AWS) environments. Oversee connectivity between data centers, cloud regions, and customer VPN tunnels. Maintain routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure including Cisco ASA, Opnsense, and HAProxy load balancers. Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure 99.9%+ uptime and performance SLAs.

The Network Architect Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our data center and customer connectivity infrastructure. This position is responsible for maintaining high availability of customer circuits, ensuring compliance with SLA performance targets, and providing technical leadership in troubleshooting, design, and optimization of complex network environments.

This is a 21-month contract role for a Senior Network Engineer. You’ll oversee a team of network engineers and play a key role in designing and implementing the migration of existing Cisco network infrastructure to Arista platforms. Key responsibilities include architecting and maintaining Arista-based network infrastructures and Fortinet NGFW & SD-WAN solutions.
