The Moderate Writer Intern contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions. This role involves writing political content, including OpEds and Policy Proposals, for ONC’s website in a collaborative environment. Exceptional writers may have the opportunity to help write a book published by ONC. The intern will participate in podcasts, events, and ensure commitment to nonpartisanship in all published work.

This is a volunteer unpaid role that can also be used as a long-term internship, if possible, per agreement. A Hot Set is looking for a long-term (12-month commitment) Editor. The position of the Editor is unpaid and part-time. Responsibilities include acting as ranking site manager under the direction of the Publisher and assisting in selecting and supervising the site contributors.

Write sharp headlines for social media and SEO. Alert news for app, email and social audiences. Maintain attention to detail on fact checking and copy editing.
