This role will manage the firm’s finances and support Goshen’s CEO with some ad-hoc nonprofit clean-up work throughout the year. Initial time commitment is 20 hours per week and subject to increase as more deliverables are determined in the future with successful performance. The Staff Accountant will support a growing Finance and Operations team, maintaining the organization’s accounting records, along with the accounting records of a selection of our subsidiaries and incubated initiatives. The Accountant will process weekly/monthly accounts payable, receivable, and payroll, perform bank/balance sheet reconciliations, and prepare monthly financials with related analysis. Grant tracking, cash flow projections, and audit preparation are also key duties. This role requires comfort working with multiple clients virtually and on-site, interacting with staff, boards, and finance committees, with promotion potential to Controller.
The Controller will lead and grow the Accounting team being responsible for accounting and financial reporting, treasury and cash management, designing and implementing accounting policies, and improving procedures and internal controls. The role includes overseeing accounts, ledgers, financial statements and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
