Lead on-site implementation of complex automation systems, working closely with cross-functional teams. Provide national level escalation support by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electro/mechanical equipment, networked computer systems, and complex software. Repair and update products in the field, reporting service issues to technical support.

Primarily responsible for providing or coordinating equipment start-ups, demonstration, and promotional services to customers. This involves new and existing equipment demonstrations and technical service functions. Troubleshooting equipment via telephone, providing general and technical information, planning and conducting training, and performing field service work assisting customers with problems are key aspects of the role.

As the Field Service Engineer, you will provide technical support to customers, perform field service, calibration, and installation of complex mechanical systems, and assist with IT issues related to system installations. Expect up to 90% overnight travel to support Field Service activities in the greater eastern region of NA.

Manage a high volume of HVAC work orders daily, overseeing licensed technicians in the field. Review diagnoses, validate scopes, and ensure quality control before work moves forward. Act as the technical gatekeeper—flagging issues, clarifying scope, and pushing back on anything that doesn’t meet standards. This role is ideal for a licensed technician who’s ready to step out of the field and grow into a tech-enabled operations role.

Install and support Intuitive Surgical products and ensure service agreements and warranty obligations are fulfilled, exceeding customer expectations and maintaining customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include pre-site verifications, system installations and upgrades, technical and clinical support, customer training, maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, spare parts inventory management and administrative duties such as Field Activity Reports, Return Material Authorizations, and Expense Reports.
