The Behavioral Health Therapist will provide individual, parent/child and family therapy to families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Therapy is provided remotely via video and telephone, at Compass’ office in San Francisco, and in the community, with the therapist meeting with some clients at or near their homes. The therapist will also provide crisis intervention and drop-in counseling.

Conducts interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions including telehealth assessments. Provides admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients. Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.

Provide regularly scheduled caseload consultation to behavioral health care managers, focusing on new or unimproved patients. Recommend treatment adjustments, including medication, within 24 hours of consulting with the team. Advise on treatment for patients needing more specialized mental health care and be available for ad hoc telephone consultation for complex cases.

Provide measurement-based, culturally humble episodic care to patients in acute crisis across various settings and states from the comfort of your own home while collaborating with onsite professionals to determine a timely disposition and use evidence-based practices to provide care to vulnerable individuals experiencing mental health crises.

The Strategic Partnerships Licensed Program Expert - Intercept provides clinical leadership to assigned Intercept implementing partner organizations in effectively implementing Youth Villages’ licensed treatment models by providing training and coaching to partner organization teams.

Provide direct patient care and care navigation by delivering evidence-based care that is founded in awareness, education, and prevention for the perinatal mental health issues affecting our patients. As a group therapist, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT.
