• Maintain and improve the UI standards, raising the visual and interaction quality of Ecosia UI, from search and browser to AI surfaces.
• Own critical user journeys end-to-end, guiding projects from early research through to shipped, polished experiences.
• Build and grow with AI, using AI tools as part of your workflow, and pitching into the codebase with the support of the team.

Ecosia is a search engine that uses its profits to plant trees. They have a team of about 100 people across Engineering, Product, Marketing, Trees, People, and Operations, and their eng & product teams work in a cross-functional set-up, forming 7 teams.

• Move fluidly between rough sketches, functional prototypes, and high-fidelity flows.
• Run lightweight, ongoing user research and synthesize qualitative signals into actionable product decisions.
• Use evidence-based conclusions to advocate for user needs, influence product direction, and ensure initiatives are followed through to implementation.
