Responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and payroll accounting for EMEA. Will oversee the monthly accounting close and financial reporting cycles and manage the external audit processes and annual filings. Will oversee the timely filings of all tax, statutory, and associated local filings, build excellent working relationships with the rest of the Accounting organisation across EMEA, AMER, and APJ.

You will be critical in helping to build a highly scalable, best-in-class accounting department. You will help build the standardization of accounting activities, ensuring an adequate control environment. Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, collaborate with an external consultant for SEC filings, and ensure compliance with public company reporting requirements. You will also stay updated on changes in accounting standards and address complex accounting issues.

This is a remote position with an estimated duration of three months to start, potentially longer. The position will be responsible for supporting MCA’s Accounting activities, including but not limited to general accounting support, balance sheets, reconciliations and analysis, accounts payable and payroll.

The Accounting Generalist Contractor plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting operations. This position supports month-end close, assists with audits and compliance, and contributes to process improvements across multiple entities. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Accounting Generalist helps maintain financial integrity, streamline workflows, and enhance overall efficiency.

You will join a core team tasked with running multiple client engagements at any one time, and will perform duties such as Controller-to-go services which include maintaining the full general ledger, journal entries, budgets, and client consulting. This position is planned to sit remotely or in a office of BerryDunn. You will report to the Managers and Senior Managers in the Outsourced Accounting Group.

As Nav’s Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in owning the close and financial reporting processes, ensuring we maintain the highest level of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. This role is critical to Nav’s next chapter as we scale, explore strategic transactions, and continue building financial products that empower small businesses. You’ll manage day-to-day accounting operations, lead our annual financial audit, and work closely with teams.
