This underwriter will determine whether to approve, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of an individual's medical history or physical condition, occupational hazards, financial background, insurable interest and other information pertinent to the decision.

This role involves identifying and assessing risks, reviewing rate filings, and assisting audit teams and special projects. You'll coordinate resources, document observations, and communicate with clients.

As a Senior Technical Claims Specialist, you will investigate complex Commercial Casualty Employers Liability claims, determine coverage, draft position letters, and evaluate liability. You will direct litigation aspects, evaluate claims for settlement, and negotiate settlements. A high level of expertise and sound judgment in complex matters is expected, with potential to serve as a subject matter expert.

The GRS North America Liability Underwriting Performance team is hiring an Assistant Director/Director to support our Liability lines of business. This technical professional will use their deep technical expertise in commercial liability insurance to understand drivers to risk and performance and create consistent underwriting strategy, guidelines/reference material, and capabilities for the Liability lines of business.

Service a book of business under the direct supervision of an underwriter. Log applications, prepare binders, and process policies and endorsements. Bind risk, post the invoice and process technical data. Screen renewal applications and send out renewal letters; perform some of the underwriting and prepare quotes for underwriter approval.

In a support role to the team, the Multi-Line Underwriting Assistant responsibilities include pre-bind risk analysis, reconciliation of binds, renewal support including pre-underwriting review, quoting, system updates, data collection, broker of record handling, endorsement review, cancellation and reinstatement handling, recommendation review, and special projects. Maintains ownership of tasks assigned and provide acceptable service standards.
