As a Patient Engagement Specialist (PES), you will be the first voice of Sprinter Health, introducing our company and our in-home, no cost health services to patients and encouraging them to make an appointment. With compassion and enthusiasm, you'll interest patients in a visit from our mobile phlebotomists (known as Sprinters). This is a temporary position through Dec 31, 2025 with a completion bonus provided.
As a Patient Intake Specialist, be the first point of contact for patients starting their journey with Understood Care. You’ll manage the calendar, confirm appointments via phone, and address patient inquiries. This role requires afternoon and weekend availability and is a 1099 contractor position with potential for a full-time transition.
Submit insurance claims with accuracy, using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes. Follow up on denials, delays, and unpaid claims—no loose ends here! Communicate with insurance companies and patients with kindness and clarity. Post payments, adjustments, and write-offs to patient accounts. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits ahead of time. Work closely with providers. Keep patient info secure and stay HIPAA-compliant. Stay on top of billing rules, payer guidelines, and industry changes.
